Marissa has earned a Graphics Arts Associates degree from the Pittsburgh Art Institute online. Some of you may remember her from last year, for those of you who may not, Marissa has been employed with ChildTime for four years.

Nichole is an Elementary Education major with a minor in Spanish. She is in her junior year at Shippensburg University. Nichole enjoys scrapbooking, baking and shopping. When Nichole graduates, she hopes to move south and have a classroom of her own.

Karen is a mother of 5 grown children and a grandmother of 2. Karen holds a BA in psychology from the Taylor University of Indiana. Karen works part-time for BETRA (In-home care for the elderly). Karen has been with ChildTime for 6 years. Karen enjoys volunteering as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate). Karen also enjoys walking and shopping with friends and spending time with her family.

Aimee Bleacher is a graduate of Shippensburg University with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Philosophy. Her internship was at a children's partial hospitalization mental health facility. After graduating she began working for ChildTime SAC and decided to pursue a career in teaching. She loves animals, having everything from rats to scorpions, and has an equally strong love of reading, which she does whenver she can catch a spare minute.
Barbara Bookwalter

Barbara Bookwalter is a native of Philadelphia, PA and has lived in the Carlisle area since 1973. She is a former elementary school teacher and is current board president for Families Through Adoption, an adoption support group. Barbara and her husband, Ron are proud parents of three grown children. They also own and operate Bookwalter Photographics, a portrait and wedding photography studio in Carlisle.

Heather graduated Shippensburg University with a major in History and a minor in Anthropology. She was recently accepted at Wilson College to earn a degree in Elementary Education. She is a hockey fanatic. Her favorite teams are the Hershey Bears and Pittsburgh Penguins.

Mackie was born in Morristown, NJ on March 13. Her primary residence is in Chatham, NJ with her mom, dad, little sister and cat, Scout. She graduated from Chatham High School. She is a second year student at Dickinson College and lives with five other people. She is majoring in Psychology and minoring in French. She lives to surf at Long Beach Island with her two cousins. She also likes to snowboard with her roommate at Ski Roundtop. She likes to watch The Office and Heroes. Her favorite movies are Finding Nemo and Madagascar.

Kevin Beam

Mr. Beam contributes his experience and energy to the program at LeTort. He also is a Substitute teacher in the South Middleton School District, and a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer. He has a Masters Degree in Elementary Education, is certified to teach Middle School Math and has more than 12 years experience working with children. He watches entirely too much sports on television and enjoys spending time with his four dogs.

Angela moved to the area from Potsdam, NY. She graduated summa cum laude from SUNY Potsdam with a Bachelor's in History and is pursuing a Master's Degree in Teaching. She is married with four children and enjoys hiking, reading and baking with her family

Tonya Redcay

Mrs. Redcay is a native of Ohio where she received a BA from God's Bible College in Cincinnati. She taught in Ohio for 5 years, then moved to the Cayman Islands and taught 1st grade for 15 years. She has 4 step-children and 2 step-grandchildren of whom she is very proud. Her hobbies include reading, baking, Southern gospel Music, and dining out with her husband.
Evelyn Bear

Ms. Bear is a graduate of Messiah College and has worked with children in many different capacities her entire life. She has 3 sons, and 6 grandchildren. In her spare time she loves reading, music, photography, gardening, baking, and life in general.
Susan Stake

Sue is new to ChildTime this year. She is a Carlisle native. After graduating from Carlisle High School, she received her BS in Education from Millersville University and her MS in Education from Shippensburg University. She is also a Reading Specialist. She taught for 21 years at South Middleton School District in 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades, and then both taught and was Elementary Director at Carlisle Christian Academy for 9 years. At CCA I was a Pre-K teacher and later a 4th grade teacher. Her hobbies include reading, gardening, quilting, and spending as much time as possible with her two young grandsons, Justin and Joshua, who live in Hershey.
Anna Friess

Anna is asophomore at Dickinson College. She is an English major and is also enrolled in the teaching certification program with a minor in Education. She became interested in the field of educatino through teaching children's martial arts classes, and has been a martial artist for about 10 years. At Dickinson, she is a member of the Swing Dancing club and Dickinson Christian Fellowship. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her friends. Her future goals are to become an English teacher and have a family, possibly after joining the Peace Corps and living abroad.
