January 2011 Events

Full Day care will be offered Monday, January 17th.

Registration sheets have been on-site since December 16th. The last day to register for the January 17th Full Day is Friday, January 7th.

Reminders about Full Day:

 Be sure to have photo ID present – at the time of pick up. Please understand that the morning staff may not be the same as the afternoon staff. It is important and required by law as well as CTSAC policy to show proof of ID. Failure to follow this important obligation will result in the inability to utilize childcare services.

 Be sure to sign in and out as well as the permission form

 Please have your child on-site by 9:00am

 If your child has medicine (including Epi-pen and inhaler) it is the parent’s responsibility to transfer all meds to and from the child’s “home” to the “Full Day” site.

 Be sure to dress your child for outdoor play

 Please make sure your child wears sneakers

 If you would like your child to have breakfast, please send cereal or any other preferred breakfast item. CTSAC will provide bowls, spoons, and milk.

 Please send a brown bag lunch each day your child will be attending.

NO ACCESS TO A MICROWAVE

 Full Day trips and guest speakers will be announced in a separate email memo.

Please have your child report to Mooreland Elementary located at 329 Wilson Street, Carlisle

If your child attends:

- Mt. Holly

- LeTort

Please have your child report to Hamilton Elementary located at 735 Clay Street, Carlisle

IMPORTANT: Full Day Fees

Tuition for the week January 17th is considered for five days – i.e.: the whole week.

If your child is registered to attend the January 17th Full Day an additional $14.00 is due.

January Tuition

 Monthly Payors: Payment is due Friday, January 7th. February Payment will be due on Friday, February 25th.

For the month of January, there are 21 days of care.

Listed below are the base rates:

- AM and PM Care = $14.00 per day per child

- AM or PM Care = $11.00 per day per child

To calculate your monthly fee simply multiply your base rate times the total number of days

($14.00 x 21 days = $294.00)

or

($11.00 x 17 days = $231.00

Please make sure to include your child’s FULL NAME in the MEMO SECTION of the check to help ensure correct credit is applied to the correct account.

Please note any payments that are received after the due date:

 Monthly payors will be charged a $25.00 late fee every week until payment is received.

 Weekly payors will be charged a $10.00 late fee every week until payment is received.

Attendance Policy

Please remember to call or email when your child is absent from the ChildTime SAC AFTERNOON program. This helps to ensure your child’s safety and helps to give our staff peace of mind!

In addition, if your child will be picked up by someone other than a “regular” pick up person, please be sure to verbally inform the on-site staff, please call/email our Registration Office, and notify the school in which he/she attends.

Children will only be released to those individuals listed as “authorized pick up people” on the enrollment application. All authorized pick up people must present photo ID at the time of pick up.

Year End Tax Statements:

Year End Tax Statements will be ready before the end of January 2011. The statements will be available on-site for your convenience.

Our focus at all of our CTSAC sites are to provide higher quality child care services. To promote character education and social emotional growth all the while supplementing what your child learns in his/her classroom. Did you know that our lessons/activities are actually from the PA Academic Standards and Early Leaning Standards – the same curriculum the school district promotes in classrooms?

The ChildTime SAC program is far from “glorified babysitting”. Our teachers are educated, dedicated, and committed to positively impacting your child and helping he/she grow into successful members of society. Our educators are incredible individuals who go above and beyond minimal expectations to ensure your child’s success. Professional Development and keen observation skills help our teacher’s know to be alert of your child needs and developmentally appropriate behaviors.

I understand that in today’s life everyone is caught up in the hustle of everyday living…but I plead with you for a simple request. Please take it upon yourself to become a bit more involved in your child’s well-being. I ask you to stop in a few minutes early and interact with your child at the program – enjoy a game of checkers or mancalla, get involved with a game of dodge ball or freeze dance. Come see what our interactive centers are about – not only will your child be psyched and thrilled but hopefully you will get a better idea of what type of services we provide.

Summer Camp Registration

Here we go again! Summer Camp 2011 Registration will begin Thursday, March 3rd. Applications will be available on our website. The routine will remain the same:

1. Complete the application

2. Include the first week’s payment and the $30.00 one time activity fee

3. Submit application plus first week and activity fee to the main CTSAC office located at 401 E. Louther Street, Suite 27, 17013.

4. Please note that summer camps do fill up quickly – please do not bank on waiting until the last day to sign up. Spaces are limited!

5. The last day to register your child for Summer Camp 2011 is April 15th.

6. Tuition is due every Friday. The weekly tuition amount is $127.50 per week per child or $32.50 per day per child.
